ranking & seeding
- Rank will be assigned by your best arena finish minus 1 tier. For example, if your best arena finish is G3, you will be seeded as a G2. Not everyone plays RTA, but most players have done an arena rush, so this is an imperfect-but-better assessment of account strength.
- Seeding will be assigned by rank. Tiebreakers for equal rank checked from profile, in order, as follows:
- Best RTA Finish
- Most days played
COMMON RULES
- Tournament players must be able to join our Discord, to coordinate with tournament mods.
- Due to the lag that is built into YouTube streaming, we cannot accept entrants who are not in and cannot join Discord to coordinate.
- The top 5 meta monsters of Season 17, according to RTA Picks, are banned and may not be drafted by any player: Seara, Okeanos, Jeogun, Ganymede and Juno.
- Players may never draft more than 1 LD5.
- Matches will run continuously, with moderators observing and random matches spotlighted on stream.
- If a player disconnects during a legal draft within the first 3 TOTAL picks, the match is replayed. Otherwise, disconnections are a loss.
- If you violate draft rules, even by mistake, it is an automatic loss. DRAFT CAREFULLY!
- If a dispute arises where a moderator disconnected or was for any other reason unavailable, the replay will be watched on stream to determine the winner.
off-meta format
- Vigor, Loren and Fran are banned and cannot be drafted.
- SWC-style Pre-bans will also be enabled, in addition to the meta monster bans
- Each draft must include at least one of:
- 4* monster
- 2A monster.
- Rank handicaps are as follows:
- G1’s vs. C2’s must additionally draft one 3* monster (NOT 2A)
- G1’s vs. C3’s or C3’s vs. C2’s must additionally draft another 3*, 4* OR 2A monster
- Nobody may draft an LD5 against a lower ranked opponent
- Standard tournament seeding (1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc.)
- Rounds 1 and 2 are a best of 3 match
- The semifinal is best of 5
- The final is best of 5
IRON MON FORMAT

- Group B: seeds 2, 7, 10, 15
- Group C: seeds 3, 6, 11, 14
- Group D: seeds 4, 5, 12, 13
- In each group, all players match each other once, Best record advances to the semifinal
- If two players tie, the heads-to-head winner advances
- If three tie, and one player beat the other two, they advance
- If three tie and split their matches, the two lowest seeds have a tiebreaker match, and then the winner of the match faces the highest seed to advance
- If all 3 players have equal seeds, the “bye” is drawn randomly
- Semifinal: Best of 5, highest vs. lowest and middle vs. middle seeds
- Final: best of 5

- Vigor, Loren, Fran and Verdehile cannot be part of any Iron Mon team, but are permitted to be drafted
- Iron Mons must always be drafted first, until all have been drafted
